Summer is Coming! - Time for Croquet?

Croquet is a sport that combines outdoor physical activity and ‘mind games’ often associated with snooker or chess.

It is enjoyed by people of all ages. Men and women play on equal terms, and a handicap system allows beginners to play against ‘experts’, learning and improving at the same time!

Crake Valley Croquet Club is an enthusiastic and welcoming club keen to recruit new members to the ‘Queen of Sports’. Whether you have played before, are an absolute beginner, or ‘might be interested’, we cordially invite you to watch and learn, ‘have a go’ and consider joining us.

We will be holding an Open Day at the club on Tuesday 13 May from 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm where you will receive a warm welcome. There will be refreshments on offer in the clubhouse.

On 20 May, 27 May and 3 June, we will be running follow-up sessions at the club, designed to allow beginners and near- beginners to ‘get up to speed’, and fully participate in games. If you are interested, but not free on 13 May, let us know.

All equipment is provided – but you need to wear flat shoes such as trainers. So please do drop in at any time between 2.00 and 8.00 pm on the 13 May.
