Cumbria Cup (June 16, 2008)
Paul Castell from Sussex, on his first appearance at Crake, won the Cumbria Cup; he beat Brian Storey (Bowdon & Cheshire) in two games in the best-of-three final.
Jack Davies also came up from Sussex; the other players were from Bury, Middlesborough & Southport, plus Mike Hammelev & three from Crake: Dave Nick (manager), Tom Griffith and Mark Miller.
Weather fair to middling, catering excellent, dinner Saturday evening at the Armadale; a good time was had by all.
